What a pleasure it was for us to go back into Tarwater Elementary School , Chandler USD, AZ – 3 rd grade – on Friday, May 26, 2006 and view a special program arranged for us to see what the students learned from and how they used the dictionaries distributed to them last November. The teacher Susan Donovan arranged a special activity requiring extensive dictionary usage.  The students then reported their findings.  During the activity I observed a post office like multiple box arrangement where each student had a private box to store his/her dictionary, note pads and other personal items. I was absolutely thrilled with the dictionary activities, the students simply used the dictionaries as a tool and whizzed right through the exercises. The movie I took documented their activities, showed the excellent room environment, and contained the students' energetic “thanks” to the Sun Lakes Rotary for their dictionaries.

In summary, I feel as do many of my Rotary teammates “The Dictionary Project is the MOST FUN project I have ever conducted!”
