Rotary International is the world's first service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide. The first Rotary Club was formed in Chicago in 1905. Rotary Club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto "Service Above Self."

This organization has donated 7,398,786 books. They have been implementing the project since 2002-2003, with at least 3,164 clubs/sections participating in the project. They have donated to over 21,701 school(s) nationwide!
So far in 2011-2012, they have donated 1,143,543 books, giving to students in over 13,945 schools, and with about 1,981 clubs participating.
