The organization of Denver neighborhood groups known as the Inter-Neighborhood Cooperation (INC) was incorporated in 1978 with a formal set of bylaws. The basis for INC is a belief that neighborhood organizations deserve a greater role in participating in city government, as well as a shared vision that neighborhoods are stronger when they work together and learn from one another. Through a program called the Dollar Dictionary Drive, the INC of Denver has provided a dictionary and a thesaurus to every third grade student in the Denver Public Schools since 1995.
This organization has donated 94,356 books. They have been implementing the project since 2003-2004, with at least 1 clubs/sections participating in the project. They have donated to over 124 school(s) nationwide!
So far in 2011-2012, they have donated 14,400 books, giving to students in over 112 schools, and with about 1 clubs participating.
