The Scottish Rite is a Masonic organization. There are about 550,000 Scottish Rite Masons in the United States. Freemasonry is a fraternity, and the Scottish Rite is one of the two branches of Freemasonry in which a Master Mason may proceed after he has completed the three degrees of Symbolic or Blue Lodge Masonry. The Scottish Rite creed is, "Human progress is our cause, liberty of thought our supreme wish, freedom of conscience our mission, and the guarantee of equal rights to all people everywhere our ultimate goal."
This organization has donated 600 books. They have been implementing the project since 2009-2010, with at least 1 clubs/sections participating in the project. They have donated to over 3 school(s) nationwide!
So far in 2011-2012, they have donated 192 books, giving to students in over 2 schools, and with about 1 clubs participating.
