The Delaware Youth Center in Callicoon, New York, began in the 1930s as the Delaware Athletic Association. Its aim was to promote educational and recreational opportunities for people in the area. In 1952, its name was changed to the Delaware Youth Center. The facility includes tennis and basketball courts, soccer fields, a skateboard park, a playground, a pool, and a great hall which hosts events and activities for residents of five townships in New York and Pennsylvania. The Delaware Youth Center has participated in the Dictionary Project since 2002.
