The Logan Grange #109 Persoanlly Presents Dictionaries

Our goal here at The Dictionary Project is to assist all students in completing the school year as better writers, active readers, and creative thinkers by providing them with their very own personal dictionary. This goal could not be accomplished without the hard work of organizations like the Grange. The Grange is a family fraternal organization that was organized in 1867 after the Civil War and is dedicated to the betterment of rural American through community service, education, legislation, and fellowship. The Logan Grange #109, as in the past several years, participated in this Community Service Project during the 2014-2015 schools year. On October 13, 2014, dictionaries were delivered to the Pleasant Gap Elementary School. Thirty-eight, third grade students were each personally presented with their copy of the Webster’s Dictionary for Students: Special Encyclopedic Edition buy community member, Linda Clapper. The students and teachers expressed their appreciation of the worthwhile project!
