Rotary Club Distributes Dictionaries to Local Students

The Rotary Club of the Slate for the third consecutive year as part of the Dictionary Project gave dictionaries to approximately 400 third grade students in all the Slate Belt School Districts and School. This project was the club’s first project when it began. Club members visit the schools and present the dictionaries to the students either in an assembly or class by class. The children learn a little bit about Rotary and also learn that the longest word in the English language is 1,909 letters.
