This will be our fourth year to provide a dictionary to every third grader in both the Anthony Wayne and Otsego school districts. We love this project and the students come up to us (even years later) to say they have their dictionary and still are using it.

We are a brand new club, chartering in November. This will be our 2nd distribution of dictionaries to the 3rd grade at at our adopted school, Katherine Finchy. I love the dictionary project–it is so rewarding to get such wonderful feedback from both students and parents.

We have received letters of gratitude always from all the schools. We have done as many as 16 schools and 1,500 dictionaries.

This is the fourth year our Rotary Club has been participating in this project. We make every effort to get the books to the schools early in the year. We visit each school to distribute the books. The children are always excited to see us and get their own books. We follow up with photos and stories in our local newspaper. Our Rotary Club...
