Monongahela Rotary Supports Local Literacy Through Annual Dictionary Delivery
Today we would like to highlight the work of Rotary club of Monongahela. This year the Monongahela Rotary Club proudly continued its annual tradition of supporting youth literacy by delivering new dictionaries to third-grade students at Ringgold North, Ringgold South, and Madonna Catholic Regional School.
As part of Rotary’s global Dictionary Project, Rotarians Tom Graney and Deb Mangino visited classrooms this week to hand out the books and share a moment of encouragement with students. A highlight of the day was a cheerful photo with Mrs. Kelli Schmeltz and her third-grade class at Ringgold Elementary North.
The Rotary Club of Monongahela has been involved in The Dictionary Project since 2006, providing a total of 4,536 dictionaries to local children. We are grateful for 19 years of support, dedication, and shared belief in the power of literacy. This long-standing commitment has placed hundreds of thousands of books into the hands of young learners, year after year.
