The third graders at St. Francis Xavier School in Winooski, Vermont recently celebrated their annual visit from the Essex Junction Lions Club, which has been proudly donating dictionaries and bookmarks to students since 2018. The presentation is a much-anticipated tradition that brings excitement and smiles to the classroom each year. Lion, Doris Maynard, expressed her excitement with saying, “Kudos to all, beginning with Annie Plummer!” Through such dedication, the Essex Junction Lions Club has now provided over 816 dictionaries to students, helping put the gift of words into hundreds of young hands.
