A Quarter Century of Literacy: Rotary Club of Tulsa Southside Honors 25 Years of Giving

The Rotary Club of Tulsa Southside recently visited Tulsa Public Schools to mark a special milestone, presenting commemorative personalized dictionaries to Superintendent Johnson and the Team Tulsa cabinet members.

This year, the club proudly celebrates the 25th anniversary of its Dictionary Project. Thanks to the dedication and generosity of its members, every third grader in Tulsa Public Schools receives a free personalized student dictionary each year to support their academic growth and literacy development.

The initiative began in 2001 through the club’s partnership with Springdale Elementary School and has since expanded into a districtwide program. Over the years, its success has also inspired Rotary clubs across the country to launch similar dictionary initiatives in their own communities.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Rotary Club of Tulsa Southside for 25 years of unwavering commitment to our students and for continuing to invest in the future of Tulsa Public Schools.
