This is the 3rd year participating in the project, and it has brought awareness to other non-profit organizations that has ask how to get involved with projects such as this. I think this is an awesome way to help students become familiar and learn the dictionary.

Our club has participated in the dictionary project for several years. We have many children in this area that would never have a resource like this without this project. We greatly appreciate this opportunity to help the children of our community. Helping children is the mission of our club.

I love the project. It is the easiest of all our programs to raise money for because the benefit is self-evident. I ask, our members give.

The Denton Rotary has done this project for several years now. The number of local partners is growing.. While more and more information can be found online, there still is nothing like owning your own books, including a dictionary. The looks on our third graders faces and their spoken and written thanks confirms this every year..

Quite honestly, there were board members who doubted the usefulness of this project. After they saw the student’s eyes and their obvious delight, and heard praise from the teachers, their own enthusiasm grew. We love it.

The Rotary Club of Hillsboro has been distributing the dictionaries for several years. We are always warmly received by the 3rd grade teachers and the students do appreciate receiving their own dictionary. we consider this to be a very good program which fits well with our literacy projects..
