We try to support our schools in many ways, and this is just another way to support kids. We have done the dictionary project for several years. We get lots of positive comments from kids and their parents.

We have distributed dictionaries for many years and feel it is the best local literacy project for a club such as ours.

We have been participating for 4 or 5 years. York Elks thinks it’s a wonderful project for the third grade students.

We are the library committee at a retirement community. We have been welcomed at various schools by students and teachers. It is a pleasure to us to be part of this project.

We started by distributing dictionaries to 3rd grade students. However that caught on with many organizations in the area. We are a small Rotary Club who wants to do something for our community. Next we looked at the Atlas for 5th graders. The teachers seem to appreciate them as well as the students.

This is a great project. Just to see the smiles and gratitude of the kids that receive the dictionaries makes it all worthwhile. We plan to do this on an annual basis.

We have done this for about 7 years. It is a project that we do every year, and the students and teachers get very good use of them. The students are eager to get them.

We have been doing this program for about 5 years. The Dictionary Project is great. We could not afford this program without this project.

This is truly a great project for our club (and for almost 2,000 kids to date). Hard to believe it’s been six years…and happy to continue!
