This is our 4th year participating in the Dictionary Project and we are approaching 2500 dictionaries handed out!! I heard about this project at the Elks National Convention 5 years ago and thought that it was a worthwhile project to bring back to the local lodge. I am amazed every year at the excitement in the students when they receive their own personal dictionary....

Every year our 3rd grade students are so pleased to receive a dictionary for their very own. I have had many High School students tell me that they still use the dictionary that the Grange gave them in 3rd grade. Thank you for having a dream and allowing us to be a part of it. My daughter’s class was one of the first to...

This is the fourth year presenting to all 3rd graders in this district, which is an underserved, almost entirely Hispanic population. The project is well worth the money spent. The texts are priced reasonably.

This is one of the most gratifying projects our Rotary Club does on a yearly basis. I encourage all Club members to participate in at least one distribution. In 2009 we added the local alternative school for troubled children and received a tremendous response.

This will be our second year. We are in a mid to low income district. I can assure you that the Dictionary may be the first book ever given to some of our children that they can call their own. Thank you so much for the opportunity to contribute to such a worthy cause.

This is an annual project for the club. We donate a dictionary to each 3rd grader in the district. For many of the students, this is the first book they have ever owned. Members of the club go to each school to personally distribute the dictionaries. One of the members will work with each class and get the students to use the dictionaries to...

The members of Conway Morning Rotary are proud to encourage local students in the pursuit of their educational goals. As residents of the “City of Colleges”, we are keenly aware of the need for a solid foundation in the fundamentals of education, especially reading.

The Dictionary Project is an excellent way for our Rotary Club to stay in touch with the students and the school district. The third graders are so bright and delighted to learn. Our visit is a special event for the children. Two Rotarians attend each classroom so we make sure all students participate in understanding how to look up words and use their books.
