I’m a 3rd grade teacher in Burnet, Texas. The Republican Women’s Group brought our 3rd graders dictionaries several months ago. I have to tell you how wonderful they are. I have a class set of some 12-year-old dictionaries, but yours are so much better! The information is incredible and the kids absolutely love them. I make up a project for us to do each... Read More
Thank you so much for the dictionaries for the students in my classroom. I teach 3rd grade at Berrendo Elementary in Roswell, NM. We have received the dictionaries for students for several years. The students are thrilled to have their very own dictionary. They love to "read" it. I have had several past students tell me they still have their dictionary from 3rd grade.... Read More
Dear Elks Lodge members, Thank you so much for taking the time to provide all of my third grade students at Gale Elementary School with new dictionaries. It is a great relief to have such a great resource provided free of cost for my students. The students take ownership and pride in the idea of owning their own book. Many of the students are... The project really sets kids on fire. Before, we had a few dictionaries students could share, but they were old and worn out. Having their own dictionaries empowers them to look up new words on their own, rather than wait for me or just skip it.
Dear Members of the Lions Club, I want to take this moment to thank you for coming to my classroom. We really enjoyed your information about your service to our community. Thank you for funding the dictionary project. We will certainly use ours on a regular basis. God bless your efforts. Sincerely, Mrs. Anderson
Dear Friends, I would like to tell you how much the children enjoyed and used their dictionaries this year! They truly enjoyed them and were amazed when they were able to take them home with them at the end of the school year. I think the children used them more for all of the wonderful information included in the back of the books more... Read More

I am a 3rd grade teacher at Elwood CCSD #203 in Elwood, Illinois. Our PTO has purchased dictionaries for the last 2 years, and I cannot tell you how much of a difference it has made to our 3rd graders. They love their dictionaries and use them all the time. They have word races, sit and read them just for fun, and they all... Read More
I really like the dictionaries we got through your organization with the Pioneers. There were so many words. The dictionaries in our classrooms don’t have most of the words we need to look up. We also used the charts and maps at the back of the book. Also, the students saw this as a prized possession – the first dictionary most ever had.
Whoever signed us up for those dictionaries, tell them “Thanks” with all my heart! They came just when we are learning about that crazy “schwa” sound & ohhhhh, did they love looking up the schwa sound & syllables in “Their” dictionary! It wouldn’t have been any fun to look all that up in those old classroom dictionaries! This was the best year for teaching... Read More
