Bill Lynch, Rotary Club of Fulton, Fulton, NY
We have been supporting the Dictionary Project for ten years. We receive great feedback from teachers, students and parents.
Margaret A. Smithers, David Crockett Grange # 1431, San Antonio, TX
I think this is a wonderful program, as many of our students are from very low income families, and I’m sure they would not be able to purchase a dictionary for their use.
Karen Mier, Kiwanis Club of Bellevue-Offutt, Bellevue, NE
This has been a very exciting project for our club. Handing out the books to individuals is reward enough. This is our 4th year, and we plan to continue. We had help from other Kiwanis Club members and from Key Clubs at Bellevue East High and Papillion/LaVista High in selling fireworks to raise money for this project.
Kermit Morse, Marysville Elks Lodge # 1130, Plain City, OH
This is our 4th year participating in the Dictionary Project and we are approaching 2500 dictionaries handed out!! I heard about this project at the Elks National Convention 5 years ago and thought that it was a worthwhile project to bring back to the local lodge. I am amazed every year at the excitement in the students when they receive their own personal dictionary.... Read More

Jacquie Hunt, St Andrews Grange # 832, Coulee City, WA
Every year our 3rd grade students are so pleased to receive a dictionary for their very own. My daughter’s class was one of the first to... Read More

This project really brings our club together. It is great and gets better every year.
Rebecca Mier, Rotary Club of Salinas Steinbeck, Salinas, CA
This is the fourth year presenting to all 3rd graders in this district, which is an underserved, almost entirely Hispanic population. The project is well worth the money spent. The texts are priced reasonably.
Scott Amori, Rotary Club of the Smithfields, Stroudsburg, PA
This is one of the most gratifying projects our Rotary Club does on a yearly basis. I encourage all Club members to participate in at least one distribution. In 2009 we added the local alternative school for troubled children and received a tremendous response.
Gary Krauss, Wilson Grange # 321, East Wilton, ME
This will be our second year. We are in a mid to low income district. I can assure you that the Dictionary may be the first book ever given to some of our children that they can call their own. Thank you so much for the opportunity to contribute to such a worthy cause.
