This is our Annual Dictionary Project for 3rd Graders. It is our gift of Literacy for the students in the surrounding districts. This is a great project!

The Pahokee Rotary is a service organization serving a small farming community in Pahokee, Florida. By providing dictionaries to all 3rd grade students, we give them a “leg-up” on their educational needs.

The Harrington Felton Greenwood Rotary Club is only 5 years old and this is at least our 4th year of donations to all 3rd graders. The kids love having their very own dictionaries and the Rotarians (with help from the Interact) love to present them.

We have been distributing dictionaries for many years. This is one of our most successful projects. Students look forward to our visit. Teachers love our project and we have received many thank you letters from schools.

This is our most enjoyable project, having the opportunity to deliver the books to our 3rd graders and watching the excitement at receiving, in many cases, the first book which was their very own. We ask questions and they race each other to find the answers in the dictionary. It is a great literacy project.

The Newburyport Elks enjoy donating dictionaries. We love to see the smiles on the students’ faces.

Kiwanis of Eldora have been providing dictonaries to the 3rd grade students for many years. The 3rd grade students look forward to their dictionaries every year.
