We have done this for several years with your organization, love the response from the kids and the books are great; budgets are tighter than ever–it’s a great help.

Anamosa Rotary has been doing this for a few years. This project is wonderful. Students are so excited about getting their own dictionary and learning how to use it. The funding for this project has been taken over by Rotary member, Ken Marlin, in memory of his wife, Joan, who was also a Rotary member – former teacher, proof-reader, and editor.

We have been handing out dictionaries in the Bullhead City, Mohave Valley area since 2003. Our club is proud to have been one of the first organizations to participate in the program in the state of Arizona. The looks on the kids’ faces and the thank you notes that we get are a fantastic bonus.

We have been doing this for 5 years, some of the members really enjoy seeing the joy on the teachers and children’s faces; we are called the Dictionary Ladies by the children who received them last year.

This is our fourth year donating Dictionaries to every single 3rd grader in Lee County!!! The appreciation we received last year was overwhelming, and made us feel as though we chose a very worthy project. This is our 3rd year to supply dictionaries to all the 3rd grade students in Peoria District 150. The teachers can’t say enough about the project and the positive impact the dictionaries have on their classroom activities.

This is our maybe 11th year for the dictionary project. We started distributing thesauruses for the 5th graders last year. Great project for our club. Teachers really appreciate it. Last year when we met with 5th graders to give them a thesaurus they told us how they still use their dictionary from 3rd grade.

We have been collecting money for the project for 4 years. We try to donate them to third graders in low socio-economic schools in our urban school district. We appreciate being able to purchase the dictionaries for such a good price, it allows us to help more students.
