We have been donating dictionaries in Lincoln County for 6 years. We receive many thanks from the students. The news media in this area provide excellent coverage. This project promotes educational growth and helps the schools. When we started this project many classrooms only had one or two dictionaries for the entire class. Now each 3rd grader receives a dictionary.

This is the third year of our Club’s involvement with the Dictionary Project, and our Club members love it and the students and faculties in our two elementary schools in our community are equally excited to be part of this program. Excellent program and very affordable rates, thank you!

I think this is our 5th year. This is one of the best programs that we are involved in, thank you.

Our club members will go into each classroom to share information on Noah Webster, the history of dictionaries, give each child a dictionary, and provide some learning games to encourage the use of their “very own” dictionaries. This has been a wonderful project for the third graders in our community and their teachers…and us!

This is our sixth year purchasing and donating the dictionaries to Oak Harbor third graders. We think it is a great project for Kiwanis and the students.

We have provided dictionaries to the third grades of the Troy & Canton PA school districts for about 7 years. This will be our third year to sponsor dictionaries for this school. Of any projects we do, this is the most tangible and meaningful. I wish all of our members would attend the give away, they would certainly find it very rewarding. Super project! I can see the website improving every year. You make it so easy!

We began donating dictionaries in 2003 after the sudden death of my father, Roger B. Thomas. He was very involved in the community and served on the school board for many years. He believed strongly in education and his community. It is a wonderful project that is so appreciated by the students and teachers.

The Lehighton Rotary Club has participated for years in this project. It is the one annual project for which club support never waivers. The Dictionary Project is well-known in the Lehighton area. Rotary remains committed to this annual distribution which supports our international literacy efforts.
