This is a great project that does not require a great deal of manpower (and/or womanpower). The payoff is when you see the smiles on those cute faces!

This will be the Rotary Club of Pineville’s 5th or 6th year of participation. The first year the books were ordered through the Rotary Club of Shreveport. The books are GREAT and the schools, teachers and students use them when taking state mandate tests and throughout the year.

This is our second year. Last year, the student were thrilled to receive the dictionaries and could not believe they could take them home.

A project of the Kiwanis Club of Titusville Youth Services committee since 2005. This is an excellent program and we are pleased to be a part of it.

What a joy to see the look on children’s faces when they receive these dictionaries. Before we’re gone, they are practicing sign language, looking up presidents, figuring out how to find words. This will be our fourth year to donate dictionaries to all 3rd graders in our club area. The reactions we receive from the children, their parents, the teachers, and the school administration is fantastic. This is such a great program and the dictionaries are very affordable.

First time for the Fort Kent Rotary Club. I was involved in this project with the Stratford Lindenwold/White Horse Rotary Club in New Jersey. Leo Smith ran the project. I have since moved back and retired to my home town. The club members are excited about the project.
