This is our fourth year with the dictionary project. For the first time, we are donating world atlases to 5th graders. Can’t say enough about it. It’s the most hands-on project we have.

The Saugerties Elks Lodge # 2574 has been participating in the dictionary project for 6 years. The 3rd graders have always been excited to receive their dictionaries. The teachers in our district have added the dictionaries as part of their classwork. This is a great program and we are proud to be a part of it.

When I heard about the dictionary project I knew our club would want to participate. I have heard personal testimonies of others who have been involved in the project and they had nothing but positive comments.

The four Pocatello, Idaho, Rotary Clubs: Pocatello Rotary Club, Gate City Rotary Club, Centennial Rotary Club, and the Portneuf Rotary Club, combined efforts to do The Dictionary Project. This order fulfills our commitment of distributing to third graders in all Title I schools of Huntsville City and Madison County schools. This has been a on-going effort by the Purcell Rotary for several years. I recently became Director-Community Services and the responsibility of the dictionaries passed to me. This is a wonderful and worthwhile program that builds continuity between the young school children and service organizations within their community.

This has been one of the best projects I have been involved in. The children are very appreciative, as is the staff at each school.

This is our Rotary Club’s 2nd year and the feedback from the kids and teachers has been excellent. We did 1 school last year and this year we are up to 5 schools. The kids love a book of their own!
