This is the third year we have distributed dictionaries to 3rd graders in our school district. Members of our club distribute books individually to each student with a handshake. When possible the police chief or fire chief accompanies us. The students love to get the dictionaries and the teachers look forward to them each year.

Ouachita Parish Women’s Republican Club has been participating in The Dictionary Project for several years. The students love to receive their dictionaries and are thoroughly enthused when they are able to explore on their own. OPWRC members and associate members generously donated to support this worthy project.

This is our seventh year in the project. We love seeing the surprised look on the students faces when they realize this is their very own dictionary. Many of them can not believe that a stranger would give them something. We enjoy getting the great thank you notes from the students.

This is our 4th year in doing the Dictionary & Thesaurus Project for our local schools. Each year we try to add a school system to help kids beyond our physical borders. We need to thank Mary French and Bill & Joan VanArsdalen for helping us grow this project in our local communities.

This is our 3rd year providing a dictionary to each 3rd grade student at Jefferson Elementary school.
