Dwight Grotewold, Rotary Club of Sun Lakes, Sun Lakes, AZ
Our Sun Lakes Rotary Club is now in its fifth year of participating in this outstanding project. We are convinced that it has a very positive effect on the students, teachers, administrators, community, and parents. I was asked to “spread the word” about this fine project to the other two Rotary Clubs in Arizona. This was done, and many other organizations and clubs became... Read More

We have been participating for at least three years. What a wonderful project! It allows us to interact directly with the children, and it is astonishing to see how excited the children become about getting a book! We have found, in follow-up years, that the teachers wind up giving their own copies to new children coming in. The teachers tell us they have incorporated... Read More
Linda Lusher, Rotary Club of Franklin, Franklin, PA
This is our third year to distribute dictionaries to all 3rd graders in the Valley Grove, Franklin and St. Patrick’s schools. The children just love receiving their very own dictionary. This is a great project and we are very happy to be a part of it. Recently one of our Rotarians visited Guatemala and she took our “extras” to the children in Antigua.
Wesley Blackmer, North Orange Grange # 86, Orange, MA
We feel that this is a very fine project as the children are very excited when receiving the dictionaries.
Frank Driscoll, Rotary Club of Boise Southwest, Meridian, ID
This year we doubled our participation and the students were as enthusiastic as ever. In fact, students, parents and staff all seem to appreciate the dictionaries. Thanks for providing this great resource.
Alan Barr, Tualco Grange # 284, Monroe, WA
This is our sixth year of delivering dictionaries and it is so much fun. The students and teachers are so appreciative and very excited when we arrive with THEIR dictionaries.
Patricia Rauch, Rotary Club of Renovo, Renovo, PA
We will distribute these books to the third grade classes at Renovo Elementary School. We have been doing this for many years. It’s a great feeling knowing that these dictionaries will probably be the only book some students can call their own and use at school and home.
Jeanne Nickerson, Porter Grange # 569, Porter, ME
We love the opportunity to give these books out in our district. This is our fourth year. Thank you for making this project affordable for us. Your hard work is appreciated. Our Grange members hold dinners and breakfasts to collect the funds to pay for the books, so all the people who attend these events help to raise the funds. Our community supports us,... Read More

We are a new club, just getting ready to be chartered, and one of our special projects concerns literacy. We are delighted to be able to get to the children early in hopes of instilling a lifetime of learning and literacy.
Denise Hearn, Rotary Club of Lakewood Ranch, Lakewood Ranch, FL
We have been participating since Rotary year 2003-2004 (7th consecutive year). Wonderful project; we love the thank you letters from the children and share them with our Club members.
