We have been distributing dictionaries to our area schools for six or seven years and it is just amazing how much the kids enjoy receiving their own dictionary. Even more fulfilling is the great feeling of possibly changing someone’s future for the better.

We have participated in The Dictionary Project for the past 6 years and each year we have purchased close to 500 dictionaries to hand out to our 2 local school districts, Webb City and Carl Junction. This year we were excited to have handed out over 3,000 in the past 6 years. Thanks for allowing us to participate in such a worthwhile program!

I think this is our third year. Myself and a couple other Elks went to each elementary school and personally presented a dictionary to each 3rd grader. Oh, to see the joy and excitement in their eyes, they were so pleased to receive their own personal dictionary and to be able to...

Dear Jackson Northwest Kiwanis Club, Thank you so much for the Student Dictionaries. The students always love them. They use them all year, and I know they will use them in future grades. In a world that sometimes appears to devalue books and learning, I appreciate your support.

This has been one of the best projects that we’ve ever engaged in. We started in 2002, and teachers and children look forward to this event every year… This is so economical and easy to administer…It’s a win-win and you make it so easy for us to have such a large impact in the area…thank you.
