We have been distributing dictionaries to our area schools for six or seven years and it is just amazing how much the kids enjoy receiving their own dictionary. Even more fulfilling is the great feeling of possibly changing someone’s future for the better.

We have participated in The Dictionary Project for the past 6 years and each year we have purchased close to 500 dictionaries to hand out to our 2 local school districts, Webb City and Carl Junction. This year we were excited to have handed out over 3,000 in the past 6 years. Thanks for allowing us to participate in such a worthwhile program!

I think this is our third year. All four Rotary Clubs distribute the dictionaries but our club, Sierra Vista West, orders, assigns schools, distributes the dictionaries to the clubs, etc. We cover any school in Cochise County that is not covered by another club. We are in a rural area and distribute books to all of the schools in 30 miles of Gila Bend. This is four or five years and the club is very pleased with the project.

This will be the second year of distribution for our Rotary Club. Members are very eager to participate in this project again.
