The distribution of dictionaries and thesauruses is one of the highlights of the Cambridge Area Rotary’s year. The students are always so enthusiastic. Fifth graders often let us know that they still have the dictionary they received in third grade..

We have been participating since our youngest daughter was in 3rd grade, she is now a junior in high school. We are private donors and have contributed to the same rural school for almost a decade. Provided at least 1296 dictionaries in 9 years to Waverly Yowell Elementary in Madison, Va.

It gives us a chance to promote education in our community and hopefully inspire service by the children. The books are a big hit and the appendix information is great.

This is our second year. It was such a joy last year, we are adding another school.
