We originally committed to 3 years. The board enthusiastically agreed to continue the project this year and gave it blanket approval for future years as well.. It works very well.. This funding comes from our entire Rotary club from general funds. We have one coordinator for the project, me, and several volunteers for distribution of the books..

bought first 200 books in 2011 Give to class each year. the children are thrilled to have their own book. For many of them it is their first personal book. Many children bilingual and it helps them immensely..

We are a homeschool co-op of 100 kids kindergarten through 12th grade. . I have been a member of the group for3 years. My son received a dictionary several years ago from the school he was attending and loved it..

I heard about other Rotary clubs doing this project and presented to my club. This will be our third distribution. I am a huge advocate of reading as part odf all education as well as the enjoyment it brings and I think this helps kids learn to enjoy it.
