I have been chair of the dictionary program for 3 years and really enjoy going into the schools and meeting the kids. I think the dictionary program is wonderful because of the look on the children’s faces when they learn that they will be receiving their very own dictionaries,.

We have been distributing Dictionaries for about 11 years and Thesaurus for about 6. We love the project.. It is by far the best PR project we have and very popular in the community..

This is about the fourth year we have participated.. We feel it is important for students to learn to use the dictionary and feel that owning their own copies helps to invest them in doing so. I do wonder what the future will hold for things such as regular books as electronic tablets become more and more part of the school curriculum..
