Our club is proud to contribute to the educational resources of our third grade class. This is our first year of participation and we are lucky to receive assistance from the Grand Forks Noon Rotary Club. That club has participated in the project for a number of years. What a terrific program. We plan to participate for years to come.

This year was my first year in Rotary and my first year delivering dictionaries. It was a joy and the kids were very excited. This dictionary is an amazing resource book and I pointed out all the great information. The kids loved the section on all the Presidents.

We got a lot of good comments. It’s been very accepted by the school superintendents, teachers, principals…everybody loves it! It’s the age where they want their own books. We acknowledge the fact that not all students have their own computers at home and do not have their own dictionaries. They love getting their own dictionary!

We are just continuing with the same schools, two schools in our community. The children are very excited when they receive these dictionaries and they look forward to it. We want to thank you for doing this project, it is a wonderful project!

This is the second year we have provided Thesaurus to the 5th and 6th graders in the Burnsville School District. The program is a success for both the Rotary Club and the School District. The students created thank you cards for our Club, and the books are appreciated by the teachers.

The annual dictionary project has now become a “signature” of the Rotary Club of Philadelphia. The low cost of these books allows us to touch the lives of many children each year.

This is the 7th year of participation by the Rotary Club of Murray. With the 332 books distributed this year, the club will have distributed a total of 2,506 books. This will be our fifth year participating. The students are very thankful and so are the teachers. It is a great program. Providing such a valuable tool to the students at such a reasonable cost.

We schedule a date with the schools and arrange for a group of the contributing dentists to go from class to class to present the dictionaries and talk about the importance of education. This is our annual project. The children really appreciate having their own dictionaries.

This is the third year in which we have done this. The kids love the books.
