This will be the fifth year that we have given books to the 3rd graders of our local district. When we have distributed this year’s books, we will have donated more than 4,000 books in my parents’ memories. I like the Dictionary Project!

Thanks for providing us with this opportunity to serve our neighbors in the community and their children. The kids love receiving the dictionaries and our members love distributing them.

This is the 3rd year the Hereford Rotary Club has given out dictionaries. The Dictionary Project is a great program for the kids. 3rd graders are excited to receive their very own dictionary, not to mention the teachers. It is a great help in the classroom.

The Dardanelle Rotary Club gives dictionaries to all third graders in Yell County, Arkansas. This is a wonderful program and we have received wonderful support and thanks from the area schools for doing this project. The teachers, administrators and kids are very appreciative.

This is our 5th year and it has been a joy for the students.

The G-H Rotary Club has been presenting dictionaries to schools in our community for the last 4 years. The Rotarians enjoy visiting the schools and chatting with the students about dictionaries and the value they will have for the students. The students love receiving them. It’s been a very worthwhile project for us and we get so much positive feedback from students and teachers.

This is our third year participating. If I didn’t think this was a fantastic project I would not have participated.

I started this project 6 years ago in the Everett Lodge of Elks # 642 and now we service the cities of Saugus and Chelsea. My first year we gave away just under 400 books and we have grown to 1200 books a year.

This will be our fourth year. It remains exciting to hand a child a book that is theirs to keep. We give thesaurus to 4th graders; we always ask how many still have their dictionaries from the previous year — most raise their hands.
