Tricia Eidsmoe, Studley Grange # 1174, Midland, MI
This is the 7th year we have done this project. The teachers love us giving dictionaries to their students. It’s a great project.
Alma A. Szeliga, Worcester Grange # 1274, Schenevus, NY
I believe this will be our 5th year of participating in the Dictionary Project. It is a very worthwhile project, does not require a lot of people or extra work, and just seeing the children’s faces light up when they receive them is extremely satisfying. An excellent program and so easy to make our orders through the internet.
Candy Smith, Williamsburg Grange # 225, Williamsburg, MA
This is our sixth year and we feel that the children have benefited from this great project.
Loren Mercer, Mason County Pomona Grange # 20, Olympia, WA
This is my 7th year of giving out the dictionaries in Mason County Washington. When I tell the students that they can write their name in the book, as it is your book, they just go crazy. You would think that I gave them a box of candy. It is the BEST thing going. Keep it up.
Marge Hagy, Brewster Grange # 1018, Brewster, WA
Enjoy for more than 7 years.
Marianne Lindgren, Prescott of Pepperell Grange # 73, Pepperell, MA
This is our Grange’s third year participating in the Dictionary Project. The children are very happy to receive the dictionary. They all send cute thank you notes that make us all feel like this is a worthwhile project.
Lila Innes, The Friends of Cossitt Library, Granby, CT
I believe The Friends of Cossitt Library has been participating in this project for about 6 yrs. I first heard of it at the Passadumkeag, ME, Grange when they did it one year. When I brought the idea to our Friends meeting in Granby all agreed it sounded good. So we’ve done it since and I am the designated person in charge of it.... Read More
Holly Bishop, Home Grange # 129, Vicksburg, MI
I believe this is our 6th year with the Dictionary Project. We love being involved with the dictionary project. It’s so exciting to go into the classrooms and help the kids look up words and tell them they get to keep the dictionary.
Patricia A. Neumann, Bethel and Olalla Granges, Olalla, WA
I think it is a marvelous program and the two Granges are glad they can participate. Olalla Grange #1125 and Bethel Grange #404. Both Granges are in South Kitsap in Washington state. The Granges split the cost so all 3rd graders in the South Kitsap School District receive a dictionary.
Judi Hester Aus, Maplewood Grange # 662, Aurora, OR
This is an excellent opportunity for organizations to help educate our young people. Many of the students that we give a dictionary to have never had a book of their own. They are thrilled to be able to take it home so their whole family can use it.
