This is my 7th year of giving out the dictionaries in Mason County Washington. When I tell the students that they can write their name in the book, as it is your book, they just go crazy. You would think that I gave them a box of candy. It is the BEST thing going. Keep it up.

This is our Grange’s third year participating in the Dictionary Project. The children are very happy to receive the dictionary. They all send cute thank you notes that make us all feel like this is a worthwhile project.

I believe The Friends of Cossitt Library has been participating in this project for about 6 yrs. I first heard of it at the Passadumkeag, ME, Grange when they did it one year. I believe this is our 6th year with the Dictionary Project. We love being involved with the dictionary project. It’s so exciting to go into the classrooms and help the kids look up words and tell them they get to keep the dictionary.

I think it is a marvelous program and the two Granges are glad they can participate. Olalla Grange #1125 and Bethel Grange #404. Both Granges are in South Kitsap in Washington state. The Granges split the cost so all 3rd graders in the South Kitsap School District receive a dictionary.

This is an excellent opportunity for organizations to help educate our young people. Many of the students that we give a dictionary to have never had a book of their own. They are thrilled to be able to take it home so their whole family can use it.

We have participating for about 7 years. This is a wonderful opportunity for our Grange to give something to our young people that will help them for a lifetime. Thank you for giving us this opportunity.

Some of the Delaware County Granges have done this for many years now. Walton Grange wants to join the other Granges in giving third graders a dictionary. I think it is a great thing.
