Groton Rotary Club assists students

The Groton Rotary Club has distributed 357 dictionaries to students in the Groton school system.

For several years, the club has purchased the dictionaries to present to third graders in Groton’s elementary schools as part of a national educational and literacy project.

Superintendent Paul Kadri and fellow Groton Rotary Club members Diane Thomas, who has chaired the Dictionary Project for the past two years, and Lee Vincent helped distribute the dictionaries.

Those interested in joining the club should visit www.grotonrotary.org or contact club president R.B. Kent at (860) 445-2331 or e-mail him at RBKentinc.@aol.com.

Dictionary Project note:

The Rotary Club has been a sponsor for the Groton schools since 2004 under the name ‘Rotary Club of Groton-Ledyard.’
