Owasso Rotary Club expands project

This year, we have a new elementary school in Owasso. We also added the Collinsville, OK public school system since they do not have a Rotary Club. We also added the Cornerstone Christian Academy, and provided 96 dictionaries for the Rejoice Christian School mid-high and high school students.

This continues to be my favorite Rotary project and the Owasso Rotary Club hopes to continue to fill in the smaller school districts in our area which are not covered by Rotary Clubs. In this season of gratitude, I am thankful for your coordination of this important literacy project across the U.S.A. God Bless America!

I have attached a few thank you letters from students and a teacher. We actually get hundreds of letters annually from kids in our schools.

Dear Rotary Club (of Owasso),

Thank you for the terrific dictionary. My favorite part is the sign language. My second favorite part is the longest word in the English language.

Your friend, Amber

Dear Owasso Rotarians,

Thank you for the dictionary. I like the planets – summary of how far away from the sun they are. Also, I like the sign language. The longest word is cool. I really appreciate the dictionary.

Sincerely, Sarah L.

Dear Owasso Rotarians,

Thank you for the dictionary. I really like reading about Earth and Mars. I enjoy reading the Declaration of Independence. Thank you for putting the Constitution in the dictionary. I really appreciate the dictionary.

Sincerely, Tyler

Dear Owasso Rotarians,

Thank you for the dictionary. I like how it tells about the solar system. I like reading about the presidents` lives. I learned how to do sign language. I really appreciate the dictionary!

Dear Owasso Rotarians,

Thank you for the dictionary. I love reading about the presidents. I enjoy the way my dictionary looks on my shelf. All my friends will be so jealous that I have my very own dictionary. It is the way that I look at the longest word in the English language that makes my tongue go numb. I love my dictionary.

Your friend, Jackson

Dear Rotary Club (Owasso) Member,

Thank you all for the wonderful dictionaries you bring to the third graders of Smith Elementary. They absolutely love them! Every year students get so excited as they look through the books to discover new things. It really makes me excited to see them learning new things. Thanks for all the good work you do.

Sincerely, Sandy C. (teacher)

Dear Rotary Club (Owasso),

Thank you for the dictionary. It is really fun. I had a sign language contest with my friend Simon.

Sincerely, Jacob

Dear Rotary Club (Owasso),

Thank you for the dictionary. It was great. The thing I like best of all was Roman Numerals.

From your friend, David

Dear Rotary Club (Owasso),

Thank you for the dictionary. It was very thoughtful of you to do that. My favorite word is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious and the longest word in the world. I think it`s the coolest dictionary ever! I`m trying to learn sign language. I learned all the states.

Thanks a million, Heidi

Dear Rotary Club (Owasso),

Thanks for the dictionary. I got to teach my family A, B, C, and D in sign language.

Sincerely, Arianna
