Pike County students receive books from Rotary Club

Recently Rotarian Ron Cook visited the Western Elementary School and passed out dictionaries to all third graders and thesauri to all fifth graders. This is a project the Rotary Club of Pike County does to be sure each student in Pike County has their own book. Pictured with Cook are the happy students of Mr. Randy McClay’s third grade class at Western. Some of Rotary’s other projects include scholarships, speech contests, toothbrushes to students and a high school student exchange program with other countries.
