Gil Ullom, Cardington Rotarian, who coordinates the project, spoke to the students and advised them to write their first and last names inside the covers of their dictionaries. β€œLeave them at school,” he further advised, β€œand they will be there when you need them.” Students receiving the dictionaries are in the classes of Dawn Ruehrmund, Janet Sedlacek, Cindi Eyman and Michelle Goughenour. Devin Cox, a third grade student, commented, β€œI will use the dictionary if I’m stuck and don’t know what a word means.” Madilee Sherman said, β€œThey can help me learn,” and Zay Nippert announced β€œThey are cool. It will help me spell better.” Logan Reynolds added, β€œI really like it. I will look up words with it.” The Cardington Rotary Club has donated dictionaries for over ten years. Ullom is treasurer of the club.
