River Region Republican Women Celebrate Another Successful Dictionary Distribution – Reaching 15,000+ Students Through The Dictionary Project

The River Region Republican Women (RRRW) recently delivered dictionaries to 19 schools across Jefferson and St. Charles parishes in Louisiana. Over the past 11 years, RRRW has proudly distributed more than 15,000 dictionaries to third-grade students throughout the area.

This year, the group was honored to have Dr. James Gray, Superintendent of Jefferson Parish Schools speak at one presentation, and School Board member Ralph Brandt joined several others.

Kay Davis, RRRW Chair, shared,“It is so much fun to gift each of these students with their own dictionary. They get so excited knowing it is theirs to keep. We also point out the many features beyond words and definitions, and they really love the extras, such as the ASL manual alphabet, Roman numerals, and biographies of the presidents.”
