On Thursday, December 18, 2025, the “Elf Helpers” — ER Brent Reedy, Activities Chair Pam Haley, and Secretary Deborah Reedy of Jacksonville Elks Lodge #0221 in Jacksonville, Florida, visited Hogan–Spring Glen Elementary School to present 96 dictionaries to three classrooms, made possible through funds from their Gratitude Grant.

“We had such a great time with the students,” said Deborah Reedy. “We talked with them about how they can use their books to learn new words and become more creative in their writing. We even played some word games to get them excited—and they really had fun!”

Each student was able to take their dictionary home, and an additional copy was left in each classroom for the teachers.

Deborah Reedy continued, “Thank you to Principal Stalls and teachers Ms. Owens, Mr. Carter, and Ms. Wurzbach for welcoming us, and to the Elks National Foundation”.
