Mill Stream Grange Brings Dictionaries to Cape Cod Hill Elementary Third Graders

Since 2017, Mill Stream Grange #574 in Maine has partnered with The Dictionary Project to gift third grade students in the area with their very own dictionaries. This year, students and teachers at Cape Cod Hill Elementary School in New Sharon were thrilled to receive the books. The students especially loved exploring the sign language chart and discovering the longest word featured in the dictionary.

In total, the Grange has now presented more than 430 dictionaries—a testament to their ongoing commitment to student literacy and community enrichment.

Providing students with a personal dictionary gives them a lasting tool to build vocabulary, improve reading skills, and boost confidence—making literacy accessible and exciting.
