Our Rotary club has been donating dictionaries to third grade students of the Tri-Valley School District since 2005. This year we have added another school district – Halifax Area School District. Keep up the good work. This is truly a worthwhile cause.

The Norfolk Elks Lodge has been donating books as part of the Elks dictionary program now for the last 2-3 years. Not only do we hand out dictionaries to the 3rd graders, but we also give an American Flag, Drug Awareness coloring books, and book markers; and then say the Pledge of Allegiance with them. We think you folks are doing a GREAT JOB!!!

This is our third year of participation and the program has been very rewarding. Both teachers and students have shown great appreciation.

We are a relatively new Rotary club – chartered in 2006 and have been providing the dictionaries every year since charter. We are happy to participate in the project and help with the level of literacy in our county. We love seeing the expressions on the children’s faces when we tell them the book is theirs to keep!

We are very pleased to be able to help students in Missouri communities where we live and work!

We believe in helping the children of the world especially in our local community and we have kept coming back every year. The kids really appreciate it and we see them at graduation and they mention how we gave them a dictionary in third grade.

The Elizabeth Ross Chapter NSDAR was blown away when our very own member, Nancy Harms, came and did her presentation about the Dictionary Project. Fantastic program!!

For the past five years we have been enjoying the distribution of dictionaries, each year as our budget grows, expanding our number of schools. We find it fun, satisfying and genuinely appreciated by the students, staffs and parents in our community. We all look forward to the project each year.
