Our Rotary Club has been donating books to Johnston Elementary third graders for years. The students look forward to receiving them. They each write a thank you letter expressing how the dictionaries help them to build word power and read. On a designated day coordinated with the Principal, our club members will go over and personally deliver them to each student.

This is a pet project by the Marshall Rotary Club members. They have been visiting the county elementary schools and distributing your dictionaries each school year since 2006.

2010 will be our first time participating in the program. We think it is a wonderful idea!

We love the project because the children love receiving their dictionaries. They treasure them like a special gift!

This will be our second year. It was very well received last year. The children loved getting the dictionaries. We received quite a few thank you notes from the children as well as their teachers.

This will be our tenth year with the project. I have seen this to be a big help with students. The students and teachers now expect this every year.

Every third-grade student in each of the seven classes receives a personal dictionary. This is our third consecutive year of presenting the books as a literacy project for our club. The Dictionary Project is great!

We are so excited about this project–to see the kids actually reading the dictionary when you hand it to them is incredible. We started the project about 5 years ago and did it for about 3 years and now I am excited to be able to start again. The kids love it.

This is our second year of participation. The first year was well received, and we appreciated the many compliments for our donations.
