Cairo Rotary Club has participated in this program for over 5 years. It is amazing to see the kids’ eyes light up with excitement because they have a dictionary they can take home and keep forever. This is a wonderful project. When I first joined Rotary, I was told, ‘You will have your Rotary moment. The moment when you become a Rotarian and not...

We have been participating since 2008. It gets more exciting each year. The kids have come to anticipate our visit. We are getting to see siblings of past students and hear from their brother/sister that they still have and use the dictionary they were given. This is such an easy project to get behind and it is very rewarding!.

This is our sixth year for the Dictionary project. The children are always very excited to get the books, and really enjoy the extensive reference information. The teachers look for ways to include the dictionary information in the lesson plans..

This is the 6th year we have been giving all of the 3rd graders at Brookfield Elementary School, Ohio their very own dictionary. The kids and the teachers love it (and so do we!). We think it is a terrific program and we just are so eager to participate in it year after year.

We have been doing this project for 6-7 years and very much enjoy going into classrooms and meeting the 3rd graders, who are very excited to be receiving their very own dictionaries!. We think this is a great project, but still check with principals and teachers each year to see if they think that this is a relevant and worthwhile project to do. So...
