Dolores Kay Carlson, Huntsville Pets Helping People, Huntsville, TX
The R.E.A.D. program started at Scott Johnson in 2004. I personally just started participating this school year. The teachers are so excited to have the opportunity to have dictionaries provided to their students.
Deborah Ploof, Bridport Grange # 303, Bridport, VT
I believe we have been doing this project for 10 years and given out more than 1000 dictionaries. Kids see me at the store and recognize me as the Dictionary Lady!. I love the way the ordering process went! It has improved for sure.
Linda Placzek, Kiwanis Club of Omaha NE Golden, Papillion, NE
Both the teachers and students look forward to this event every year. This is one of the best projects to serve the needs of many children. So often, students living in low socio-economic do not have access to any tools of this kind, so providing them with their own dictionary is a wonderful opportunity for our Kiwanians.
Jonathan Knight, Rotary Club of Canastota, Oneida, NY
We always receive Thank you notes from the 3rd graders saying how much they use their dictionaries.

Steve Solbrack, Rotary Club of St. Louis Park, Golden Valley, MN
This will be my eighth consecutive year of giving a dictionary to every third grade student in the school district. I tell the students, my Rotary club and others that of all of the things that I do in Rotary every year, spending time with the students and giving them a dictionary is my favorite day of the year.
Terri Deike, Rotary Club of Longview, Tyler, TX
The Longview Rotary Club has participated in the dictionary project for over 5 years. The Dictionary Project is a great way to give Rotary Clubs the opportunity to purchase dictionaries at an affordable price.
Janet J Tribolet, American Legion Aux. No. 0164, Bedford, IA
We have given these dictionaries to the 3rd grade students at the Bedford School for several years. This year one of the teachers called on the second day of school to see when we were coming as they use them so much in their classroom. The teachers and students really appreciate them. Thank you for making them available.
