We donate to the entire school district which encompasses three towns, Charlestown, Richmond and Hopkinton. There are four schools in the district: two in Hopkinton and one each in Richmond and Charlestown. We always present the books to the children at a special program for each of the four schools we serve. We have been participating in this program for four years. Each year we put on a supper which we call the Dictionary Supper to raise the money for the books. This year we hope to raise enough money to be able to give dictionaries to another school district near the Chariho area. I think this is one of the most rewarding projects that has ever been put forth. Children are so very appreciative when they receive their dictionaries and in some cases it is the only book they have in their homes.
