A dictionary teaches a child how to approach a problem and use critical thinking skills by sounding out the word and finding it in the dictionary. This simple task gives them a feeling of self-confidence and satisfaction that they cannot get online.

Ms. Nancy Mascio, Bridgewater Grange #153, CT

The dictionaries are great this year. The children love them. I many go back to the classrooms to do a lesson or two on using the dictionary. They also want to see my unabridged dictionaries and my Braille books. It’s so nice to see children excited about words. I taught 2nd grade for 35 years, and helping children learn to communicate and learn from one another was one of my first concerns. Thank you for all you do to help children love words.
