We have been doing this project every year since 2001. We believe it’s a valuable project and the teachers have been asked if it’s still worth while, which they all agree it is.

The program works well. It is inexpensive and the web site is easy to use. The children benefit greatly because of this.

We have been doing this project for several years now. Love the dictionaries – they have so much more information than a regular dictionary.

Dear Dictionary Project, Thank you for sending the dictionary to me. This is the best dictionary I have. I am really happy to have it. I like it because it is new and it is mine. I can use it when I don’t know what a word means. Sincerely, Christopher

We make a visit to each of our elementary schools that participate with us to make a presentation and then distribute the dictionaries. Our Lodge has participated for the past 3 or 4 years consecutively. We had been involved prior to that on and off. We love visiting the schools and watching the children’s reactions when we say they get to keep the dictionaries...

Our lodge has been participating for quite a few years. This is my third year doing the project. I am a retired teacher and this project is very necessary to the teachers and the students who receive them. With this aide, they can fulfill the teaching standard of dictionary skills. Without dictionaries in hand it is almost impossible to do. I think it is...

Our group formed 3 years ago and gave out close to 2000 Dictionaries that first year to all third graders in 2 public school districts plus private schools and home-schooled children. We will be giving to all 3rd & 4th graders in the local school district this year, due to missing this opportunity last year. All involved were thrilled with the gift. Members taught...

Southeast Polk Kiwanis has been giving dictionaries to all third graders in the district for several years. When the school lets us deliver them to the classroom, it is very rewarding to see smiles on their faces and hear “thank you” from each child and teacher.
