This is our Rotary clubs’ ninth year delivering the dictionaries and each year it is so appreciated. It is a great project needed sorely by some schools especially the Penns Valley SD.

We have been doing the dictionary project for 8 years or so. It is one of my favorite projects. The kids are always excited.

I love that I can provide these books. Some people think that kids can just look up words they don’t know on online dictionaries, but most of my students do not have internet access available in their homes, only in school. I encourage the kids to keep their dictionary with them when they read at home and look up words they do not understand.

We have been participating for 5 years. It is important for our Club to continue this project for our 3rd graders. Literacy is so important and 3rd grade is a crucial time for our kids.

We have been doing this for about 15 years and love seeing the joy on the faces of the kids.. It’s a great project.. Just the Roxbury Rotary Club.

Our third year in providing dictionaries to the third graders in our town. You would think it was Christmas morning when we tell them the book is theirs to keep. This is a great project, with immediate, and long term rewards for all.
