A dictionary teaches a child how to approach a problem and use critical thinking skills by sounding out the word and finding it in the dictionary. This simple task gives them a feeling of self-confidence and satisfaction that they cannot get online.

Dear Dictionary Project, Thank you for the dictionaries! We really appreciate them. We use dictionaries a lot during the day./ We use them to look up words for our vocabulary maps and while looking up our spelling words. We can use them to look up words when we read books. We also use dictionaries to find newer, stronger words to use when we write letter or stories. How considerate of you  to make them kid friendly. You might even see some of us take these useful dictionaries to upper grades or even college! Room 209 in Glenwood really does appreciate yuor efforts on making these dictionaries for the third graders in Glenwood school. Thank you Dictionary Project. Sincerely, Pooja
