Denver dictionary labeling 2010

Here are some pictures of our labeling of 7,000 dictionaries in Denver on August 12. It only took 35 people 4 hours to unpack, count, label, recount, and repack books for 94 schools. All the labels are school-specific with the surrounding neighborhood associations. Additionally the number of books for each school ranges from 2 dozen to 12 dozen, but usually not an even number. I guess after 15 years we should have the routine down pat. Many of the people helping with the labeling have helped for over 10 years. We also provided the volunteers lunch and snacks.

The Inter-Neighborhood Cooperation of Denver provides dictionaries for every third grader in the Denver Public Schools.
