Parkersburg students enjoy their new dictionaries

 Dear Mary French,

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you and The Dictionary Project for the generous gift of dictionaries you provided our third graders with. Several of our students lost everything in the EF5 tornado that struck Parkersburg, Iowa on May 25, 2008. Therefore, they were ecstatic when they received their very own dictionaries to begin rebuilding their book collections at their new houses.

Sixty-two students were able to have their own dictionary because of your gracious giving. Therefore, we have sent you their thank yous so you can personally see how much everyone appreciates this lifelong gift.

Our goal is to teach the children to `pay it forward` so others who may be in a difficult situation will someday benefit from their generosity as they have from yours.

God bless you always.

Sincerely,

Karen Ryan, Tamara Tingle, & Brian Sammons
