Aiken County Rotary Clubs Distribute 46,600+ Dictionaries Since 2004

In a long-standing commitment to literacy, all Rotary Clubs in Aiken County, South Carolina have worked together since 2004 to ensure every third grade student in the county receives a personal dictionary. This includes students in public, private, and charter schools, in partnership with the Aiken County School District.

Each year, Rotarians and Interact Club members label and package copies of A Student’s Dictionary with Rotary logos and the Four-Way Test, before personally delivering them to students. This year’s initiative kicked off at East Aiken School of the Arts, marking another milestone in the county’s 20-year tradition of empowering young learners.

To date, more than 46,600 dictionaries have been distributed, reinforcing Rotary’s mission to support education and community engagement across generations.
